Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a variety of Vehicles and trailers to ensure optimal operational performance. we have good facilities and a large heated workshop with pits, lifting equipment and multiple diagnostic equipment as well as a well established and friendly team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose faults accurately using diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Repair or replace faulty components, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance schedules.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment.
Skills
- Proven experience as a HGV mechanic or in a similar technical role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical components.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical or automotive engineering are desirable.

We offer a 10 percent weekly bonus in addition to hourly pay after one month of employment and we also offer private medical insurance after one year of employment.
