Blackburn with Darwen community centres are managed by volunteers, each bringing unique skills vital for the centre\’s success. Volunteers help keep facilities accessible and welcoming for residents.
This role offers valuable experience and training opportunities.
As a cleaning support volunteer, you will maintain a clean and tidy environment for all users, performing various cleaning duties and adhering to health and safety protocols to ensure everyone\’s protection.
Note: All volunteers must undergo a DBS check before starting.
- Dusting, polishing surfaces, and cleaning windows.
- Documenting routine inspections and maintenance.
- Performing deep cleaning tasks periodically.
Required Qualities:
- Previous cleaning experience.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of health and safety principles.
- Versatility and adaptability.
- Teamwork skills.
Training:
Training will be provided as needed, through peer support, distance learning, or trainer-led sessions.
