Our Acute Assessment and Frailty Therapy team are looking for a Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist to support the implementation of a new and exciting way of working at the trust. You will use your excellent organisation, prioritisation and delegation skills to support the delivery of therapy assessments and intervention across the emergency department and assessment areas across the trust. To achieve this you will rely upon your advanced therapeutic assessment and intervention skills, problem-solving skills and effective risk management to achieve positive results for patients.

Main duties of the job:

  • You will provide leadership to the Acute Assessment and Frailty Therapy team alongside the other Clinical Leads, supporting each other to provide integrated, responsive and effective care across all the service areas.

  • Your positive approach to collaboration and communication will enhance your working relationships and interactions with team members across the acute and community pathways.
  • Your open and empathetic communication style will also positively impact on patients who may be in a moment of crisis looking to you for help.
  • Using your advanced clinical assessment skills you will be able to make timely decisions regarding patient care and discharge planning as well as supporting others within the team to do the same.
