1 x 37.5 hours Patient Services working variable Hours between 7am to 8pm 5 Days over 7 Days. Detailed job description and main responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure an accurate exchange of information about catering tasks and service needs.
- Co-ordinate and supervise the production of simple snacks for service within the catering retail.
- Co-ordinate the food service for both patient meal and retail services.
- Supervise the cleaning of areas, washing of crockery, cutlery and utensils.
- Assist with the management of performance issues including attendance and conduct.
- Prepare staff rotas, allocating duties on a daily basis.
- Participate in the interview and selection process for Band 2 Staff.
- Operate cash registers in retail areas.
- Ensure security of cash within departmental safe.
- Report any defective equipment or health and safety issues.
Person specification:
Qualifications and Education:
- Essential: Level 2 Certificate in Food Hygiene.
- Desirable: Level 3/Intermediate Certificate in Food Hygiene, Food service qualification, Basic Health and Safety qualification.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Essential: Knowledge of Information Governance and Data Protection, experience in the Catering industry, experience in dealing with the public, previous supervisory experience.
- Desirable: Knowledge of therapeutic diets, experience within a Healthcare setting.
