The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

1 x 37.5 hours Patient Services working variable Hours between 7am to 8pm 5 Days over 7 Days.   • Communicate effectively with colleagues and other departments for smooth running of the department.
  • Deliver a great catering service.
  • Receive full interactive training and specialised training courses in our active kitchens.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure an accurate exchange of information about catering tasks and service needs.
  • Co-ordinate and supervise the production of simple snacks for service within the catering retail.
  • Co-ordinate the food service for both patient meal and retail services.
  • Supervise the cleaning of areas, washing of crockery, cutlery and utensils.
  • Assist with the management of performance issues including attendance and conduct.
  • Prepare staff rotas, allocating duties on a daily basis.
  • Participate in the interview and selection process for Band 2 Staff.
  • Operate cash registers in retail areas.
  • Ensure security of cash within departmental safe.
  • Report any defective equipment or health and safety issues.

Person specification:

Qualifications and Education:

  • Essential: Level 2 Certificate in Food Hygiene.
  • Desirable: Level 3/Intermediate Certificate in Food Hygiene, Food service qualification, Basic Health and Safety qualification.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Essential: Knowledge of Information Governance and Data Protection, experience in the Catering industry, experience in dealing with the public, previous supervisory experience.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of therapeutic diets, experience within a Healthcare setting.
