Role Overview
The role will be the Team Lead for the Companion Diagnostics section of Cellular Pathology, with rotation responsibilities including leading Immunohistochemistry, electron microscopy, and dissection.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the companion diagnostic service through continual improvement, innovation, training, and efficiency initiatives to meet NHS cancer targets and support the North West Genomic Service.
- Support the team in daily organization, management, and supervision of the laboratory to ensure a timely, quality service.
- Deliver the companion diagnostic service aligned with the requirements of the Northwest Genomic Hub and patient oncology needs at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals.
- Participate in staff training and development, and communicate effectively within the team.
- Attend Senior management meetings to support operational delivery and deputize for the Lead BMS and other Team Leaders when necessary.
