Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Full GMC Registration Licence to Practice
  • MBBS or equivalent.

Desirable criteria

  • Post graduate Qualification in Anaesthesia/ED/Medicine
  • Hold ALS / ATLS certification or equivalent

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Have a minimum 3 years post foundation Training experience in Anaesthesia/ICM/ Medicine/Emergency medicine with Mandatory 6 months of ICM experience
  • Competent in independent airway Management.
  • Independent in insertion of Central Venous Catheters, Arterial Lines and perform Intubations.
  • Independently manage acutely unwell patients in critical care and provide various organ supports

Desirable criteria

  • Evidence of commitment to Clinical audit.
  • Experience in use of Ultrasound for central line insertion and perform ECHO in critical care.
  • Involvement in service improvement projects

Research and Development

Essential criteria

  • Evidence of interest in personal development

Desirable criteria

  • Publications in a peer reviewed journal.

Health

Essential criteria

  • Meets professional health requirements in line with GMC Standards/ Good Medical Practice
