An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Logistics and Offtake team at Lancashire Renewables Ltd. working from our Leyland facility.
What you'll be doing
The Class 1 LGV Driver role involves the safe and efficient operation of heavy goods vehicles to support daily transport and operational requirements. The position requires a professional approach to driving, a strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards, and effective communication with operational teams. Drivers are expected to represent the company positively, comply with all legal and company policies, and contribute to reliable, compliant, and efficient transport operations.
What you will bring
To be successful in this position it is essential that you hold the following qualifications and experience:
- Full LGV C+E (Class 1) Licence.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Relevant haulage experience and thorough understanding of LGV vehicles and how they operate.
Whilst training and development opportunities are provided and encouraged for our roles, the following are advantageous:
- Valid Driver CPC qualification or willingness to work towards.

Who are we?
Lancashire Renewables Ltd was established for the operation and management of the two waste treatment facilities built for the Lancashire Waste Contract. Our two facilities in Thornton and Leyland are manned 365 days a year. Both sites can process over 5,000 tonnes of residual (black bin bag) waste per week and divert 95% of this material away from landfill. Our aim is to achieve a sustainable future for Lancashire by providing services to process biodegradable and non-biodegradable community waste and our people are vital in helping us achieve this.
