An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Operations and Maintenance Team at Lancashire Renewables Ltd, working on a 2-shift rotation at our Leyland facility.
The Anaerobic Digestion Process Team Leader plays a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of the Lancashire Renewables operation. This position encompasses diverse responsibilities across multiple functions within the company, primarily within the Anaerobic Digestion Facility, ensuring flexibility and adaptability to meet operational demands. Operating in accordance with our policies, procedures, and safety protocols, the post holder will lead a team to uphold safety standards, optimize production processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
What you will bring
To be successful in this position, it is essential that you hold a recognised technical qualification (science/chemical subject) or equivalent experience and knowledge of Anaerobic Digestion, gasification, chemical or industrial type process with supporting qualifications. Experience and knowledge of leading a team is also an essential requirement for this role.
Whilst training and development opportunities are provided and encouraged for our roles, the following skills and knowledge are desired:
- Recognised Health and Safety Qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH).
- Certificate of Technical Competence (COTC) to include (OCS32 & OCS63 Expansion Modules for Anaerobic Digestion).
- Ability to plan and co-ordinate work schedules, prioritise tasks and allocate resources effectively.
- Ability to identify issues, analyse root causes and implement solutions to ensure smooth running of operations.

Who are we?
Lancashire Renewables Ltd was established for the operation and management of the two waste treatment facilities built for the Lancashire Waste Contract. Our two facilities in Thornton and Leyland are manned 365 days a year. Both sites can process over 5,000 tonnes of residual (black bin bag) waste per week and divert 95% of this material away from landfill. Our aim is to achieve a sustainable future for Lancashire by providing services to process biodegradable and non-biodegradable community waste, and our people are vital in helping us achieve this.
