Lancashire Renewables Ltd was established for the operation and management of the two waste treatment facilities built for the Lancashire Waste Contract. Our two facilities in Thornton and Leyland are manned 365 days a year, each capable of processing over 5,000 tonnes of residual waste per week and diverting 95% of this material away from landfill. We aim to achieve a sustainable future for Lancashire by providing services to process biodegradable and non‑biodegradable household waste. Our employees work in a variety of operations, maintenance, logistics and support roles across our two sites, actively encouraging internal growth through development and training programmes.
What you’ll be doing
The Shift EIC Technician will be responsible for maintaining the waste treatment facility assets and associated infrastructure, including operational monitoring of functional odour abatement systems and the SCADA system, within a 5‑shift 12‑hour, 24/7 schedule.
Requirements
- ONC/HNC Electrical qualification or equivalent experience with supporting qualifications.
- Knowledge of preventative, predictive & lifecycle maintenance activities.
- Proficiency in using various computer‑based systems, including Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with a centralised maintenance management system.
- Knowledge of waste processing plants, FMCG, chemical or industrial machinery.
- Experience driving Mobile Plant equipment, specifically MEWP.
- Qualified in confined spaces training.
- Certified in working at height training.
- Experience and knowledge of odour abatement systems.
- Experience with SCADA operations.
