We're looking for a bold and caring individual to join our Children and Young People's team. We want someone who has experience of engaging and working with children and young people, ideally within schools, and who is passionate about making a difference to young people's mental health and wellbeing.
In this role, you'll deliver a range of support in schools and colleges, including assemblies, group programmes and workshops on topics such as resilience, anxiety and wellbeing, as well as 1:1 support where needed. You'll also work closely with school staff and partners, building strong relationships and ensuring our support meets the needs of children and young people.
To succeed in the role, you will need excellent communication skills, be confident, driven and able to work independently. You will be warm, engaging and creative, with the ability to build rapport quickly with young people and school staff. You'll also be flexible, able to adapt your practice to different settings and respond to the needs of the organisation and the communities we serve.
You will have a good understanding of the barriers some young people face in achieving good mental health and wellbeing, and a commitment to early intervention and building resilience. This is an exciting time for Lancashire Mind as our children and young people's services continue to grow, enabling us to reach and support more people across the county. We're looking for people who share our vision of a Lancashire where everyone can have the best mental health and wellbeing possible.
