Summary

Our client is an outgoing, sociable and intelligent 44-year-old male with Cerebral Palsy. He is looking for a male personal assistant to take him swimming and accompany him in the pool for 2 hours per week, days are flexible for the right support.

Our client needs some support with mobility, particularly in wet areas. Assistance with personal care is generally not required, however oversight around the pool and changing area is needed to ensure safety.

Ideally you will be a confident swimmer, willing to swim with and support our client in the pool, building confidence and improving techniques. You need to have a good understanding of pool safety and an awareness of risk associated with restricted mobility.

We are looking for a proactive, caring, and motivated individual with a passion for supporting others. Ideally you have an interest in sports and good conversation. Previous experience is desirable but not essential.

You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A driver with a full clean licence is essential, as is access to a car.

We will require evidence of liability insurance, UTR number and DBS.

You will provide regular invoices; payment will be made electronically.
