Personal Assistant (Job Share – 47 Hours per Week)

Hourly Rate: £13.71 per hour

Location: Ormskirk, Lancashire

Hours: Monday – Sunday from 9:30am (start time slightly flexible), approximately 7.5 hours per day

Contract Type: Job Share (2 Personal Assistants sharing 47 hours per week)

We are looking to recruit two Personal Assistants to work as part of a job share arrangement, providing support across 47 hours per week. This role is ideal for caring, reliable, and friendly individuals who enjoy supporting others and being part of someone’s day-to-day life.

About the Role

Support is required throughout the week, generally starting at 9:30am (some flexibility possible) for around 7.5 hours per day. Fridays: Support is required in the morning (around 9:30am) to assist with transport to a day centre, and again at 4:30pm to collect and return home. Occasionally, additional hours may be available on Friday evenings.

Duties Include:

  • Preparing and cooking meals
  • General cleaning and household tasks
  • Laundry and ironing
  • Washing and drying hair
  • Organising clothes for the day
  • Supporting access to the community (coffee trips, walks, outings)
  • Providing companionship and social support

Previous care experience is not essential. This role is about finding the right person with the right attitude and approach. Full guidance will be provided.

Driving Requirement

A car driver is preferred, with proof of business insurance cover. However, only one driver is required between the two roles, so non-drivers are still encouraged to apply.
