Overview
Personal Assistant required – Tarleton area – LILS/EM/OL
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and support to build confidence and promote independence and access the community for social/leisure activities.
- Support a young man who is autistic and may experience anxiety; act as a friend and mentor.
- Share interests in woodwork, photography and baking as appropriate; support creative projects.
- Ensure reassurance and a calm, positive attitude; no personal care involved.
- Promote effective communication; be trustworthy and reliable.
Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge of Autism and anxiety is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills; trustworthy and reliable.
- Driver with a full clean licence required.
- Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
Details
- Part-time position for 6 hours per week initially (support for two afternoons – weekdays).
