Personal Assistant required – Tarleton area – LILS/EM/OL

Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and support to build confidence and promote independence and access the community for social/leisure activities.
  • Support a young man who is autistic and may experience anxiety; act as a friend and mentor.
  • Share interests in woodwork, photography and baking as appropriate; support creative projects.
  • Ensure reassurance and a calm, positive attitude; no personal care involved.
  • Promote effective communication; be trustworthy and reliable.

Qualifications

  • Experience or knowledge of Autism and anxiety is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills; trustworthy and reliable.
  • Driver with a full clean licence required.
  • Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check.

Details

  • Part-time position for 6 hours per week initially (support for two afternoons – weekdays).
  • Hourly rate Β£12.21 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and workplace pension scheme.
