A rewarding opportunity is available to support a lady living in Clayton-le-Woods area, local to Chorley. It would be ideal if the carer had experience of providing support for somebody who is visually impaired. This is an opportunity for a personal assistant to offer support and companionship for 13 hours per week working alongside the client to maintain their independence.
This work will be carried out Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, during school hours with very occasional evenings and weekends when needed. The hours can be flexible by negotiation.
The main focus of the support will be to take the client to attend groups as she leads an active lifestyle and likes to keep engaged and physically fit. To carry out these duties a car driver is essential with access to own car, business insurance and a clean driving license.
Other duties involve light domestic duties including cleaning, meal preparation and shopping alongside the client. Assistance is also required in organising admin due to limited sight.
We are looking for a reliable, well organised and kind individual who is physically active and enjoys helping others to maintain their independence. This is a part time position for 13 hours per week with an hourly rate of £12.21 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and workplace pension scheme (if applicable).
