Seeking an experienced self-employed compassionate person to provide support to a neuro-divergent female in her 40's with Complex FND (Functional Neurological Disorder) and NEAD (Non Epileptic Attack Disorder). We are looking for an individual who is understanding, patient and has a non-judgmental attitude. Must be happy to take instruction and use their own initiative when required. Experience or knowledge of hidden disabilities such as Chronic Fatigue, Autism, ADHD, PTSD is desirable but not essential. Would suit someone with an outgoing personality with a passion for outdoor adventures such as camping, dog walks, swimming and paddleboarding.

Must be great with children as the client has two (13 & 4). Whilst there are no childcare needs, their happiness is crucial, therefore, you will essentially be an extension of our small family. Must love animals as there are four cats and one small friendly dog.

This position will involve:

  • Occasional transporting and accompanying the client with hospital and medical appointments.
  • Some aspects of personal care.
  • Assisting with cooking and meal prep.
  • Weekly help with shopping and lifting/carrying.
  • Household domestic tasks.
  • Trips away with family - accommodation and meals provided as well as 'down time' to explore.

Hours may vary from day to day due to the variability of the client’s health condition, hospital appointments and such. You must have excellent communication and engagement skills, be organised, extremely honest and reliable. A driver with a full clean license is essential to this position. The client has a campervan which you will have access to, but own transport is essential. Must have a recent, clear enhanced DBS. Must provide evidence of current liability insurance, UTR number and be able to provide regular invoices.
