Personal Assistant – Accrington

An opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive support to an autistic young boy with ADHD within his home and local community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance with taking him on days out.
  • Support in encouraging development of independence and life skills.
  • Act as a friend and mentor.
  • Explore new interests and hobbies.
  • Assist with participating in activities as a family.
  • Interest in the great outdoors and associated activities would be a distinct advantage.

Candidate Requirements

  • Seeking a caring, proactive, and motivated individual with genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential, as is a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • A clear, full driving license and own vehicle is essential.

Position Details

This is a part time position and hours are split between 5 hours term time and 8 hours non-term time and will include some weekends. Hourly rate of £12.21 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and workplace pension scheme.
