An exciting opportunity has arisen for a personal assistant in the Preston area. Our client is looking for a caring individual who has great people skills and a passion to support others.
Overview
The role is to support a female adult in her own home with a view to enabling greater independence and confidence. Our client is interested in fashion, clothes, make-up, art and travel, so ideally the applicant would have similar interests.
Responsibilities
- Occasional support with personal care.
- Prompting with daily living tasks such as maintaining personal care, domestic duties and taking medication.
- Support to go into the community, including visits to clothes shops, beauty shops, cafes, and walks in the local park.
Requirements
- Experience of supporting individuals who have complex needs is essential.
- Car driver with business insurance is essential.
- Great people skills and a genuine interest in helping others.
Working arrangements
- Hours: Monday – Friday; 4 hours per day Monday–Thursday and 3 hours on Friday. Very occasional weekend work may be required.
- Hourly rate: £15.00
- Holiday entitlement: 5.6 weeks plus a workplace pension.
