We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and neuroaffirmative Personal Assistant to support a teenage boy who thrives in environments that promote autonomy, emotional safety, and validation. This role is ideal for someone with experience or interest in working alongside neurodivergent young people using a strength‑based, person‑centred approach.

Ideal Candidate

  • Be calm, emotionally attuned, and responsive, with a strong commitment to neuroaffirmative practice.
  • Demonstrate understanding of sensory processing, anxiety, and the impact of transitions and change on neurodivergent individuals.
  • Be confident in taking a flexible and intuitive approach, rather than task‑focused support.
  • Have a genuine interest in building connection through shared interests, particularly outdoors and nature‑based activities.
  • Value autonomy and agency, always working with the young person, not on or to them.

This is a part‑time position for 6 hours per week during term time and 10 hours per week non‑term time, with an hourly rate of £12.71 plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and a workplace pension scheme. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS clearance, the cost of which will be met by the employer.
