The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.
We are looking for a reliable and friendly Personal Assistant to support a quiet and reflective individual during term time, primarily at University of Lancashire, Preston - possibly one morning and around lunchtime (flexible by arrangement). Also, there is the possibility of additional hours in the Chorley area - up to 6 hours, all year round, working times: Daytime hours - weekdays or weekends (flexible by agreement), for outdoor walking and health/fitness activities.
The role involves providing companionship and confidence‑building support in social environments, with the aim of helping the individual develop greater independence over time.
Key Responsibilities- Acting as a companion to support confidence in social situations
- Assisting with personal organisation, administration, and diary planning
- Providing encouragement and support to help build independence
- Supporting interests in fitness, walking, and developing outdoor activities (possible additional hours based in Chorley)
Essential / Desirable Skills:
- Enhanced DBS check essential
- References will be required
- Friendly, patient, and reliable
- Good organisational and communication skills
- An understanding of ASD/ADHD would be an advantage
- Ability to offer calm, confidence‑building support
- Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
