We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and patient individual to support a loving child with complex needs. The child has a diagnosis of ASD, sensory impairments, and epilepsy. They are non-verbal and communicate using a communication picture board and Makaton communication aids. Full training will be provided, including the administration of epilepsy seizure medication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing attentive, one-to-one support
- Supporting communication using sign board and Makaton
- Assisting with personal care (including nappy changes)
- Encouraging and supporting eating
- Taking the child out on enjoyable days out and activities
- Supporting access to hobbies such as swimming and other leisure activities
- Using a pram to assist with mobility when required
A driver is preferred but not essential: access to a mobility car will be provided for transporting the child.
