Actuarial Analyst – Pricing & Portfolio Management

Description

The primary purpose of this role is to develop, maintain and enhance pricing models and reporting across the Lancashire Group and facilitate underwriter support through case pricing and portfolio analytics.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Translate models into the hx pricing platform
  • Build pricing and underwriting MI reporting
  • Liaise with underwriters around pricing model scoping and enhancements
  • Review and enhance existing pricing models
  • Ensure models and process are aligned with minimum standards and/or best practice
  • Maintain pricing models and update parameters
  • Undertake case pricing reviews
  • Assist with portfolio management analytics
  • Upkeep of relevant documentation
  • Assist with Lloyd’s oversight compliance with respect to pricing
  • To act in accordance with all applicable Supervisory Bodies, principles, rules and regulations

Skills and Requirements

  • Advanced programming and data management skills
  • Solid experience within a pricing related role
  • Minimum of a second class degree in a mathematical or science based subject
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good understanding of the Lloyd’s market
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem solving skills and project management skills
  • Experience of case pricing in the London Market is desirable
  • Knowledge of hx is desirable
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI is desirable
