Assistant Safety, Health and Environment Advisor Location: Safety, Health & Environment Department, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters, Fulwood, Preston, PR2 3LH Salary: Grade 6, Spinal Column Point 20- 27, £31,586 – £37,035 Working Arrangements: 36:25 hpw, a flexitime scheme is in operation Closing Date: 21 February 2025 An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Safety, Health and Environment Advisor to join an inclusive and value driven public sector organisation with an outstanding organisational culture. You will join a small, experienced team who provide support to all areas and functions within the Service to ensure that we are legally compliant across safety, health and environmental issues. You will be qualified in health and safety and/or environment and able to demonstrate application of legislation in a proportionate manner. You will have the ability to develop policy and procedures, undertake risk assessments, audits, workplace inspections and also provide administrative support to the wider team. If you are newly qualified, then this is an ideal role for you to develop your skills and apply them across our sites. We are particularly looking for candidates who have a background in environmental management as you will play a key role in the implementation of the Service Environmental Sustainability Plan.
