Salary: Scale 5, Spinal Column Points 14-19, Β£30,515 - Β£33,119

Working Arrangements

36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexitime working arrangements.

Job Details

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service is currently recruiting for the post of Community Safety Advisor; the role of the post holder will be to help make Lancashire a safer community through promoting and advising on community fire safety and the wider determinants of health and wellbeing.

Applicants will be required to demonstrate an ability to support and communicate with vulnerable people living in the community, plus the ability to undertake a range of practical activities including the fitting of fire alarms.

It is also essential that applicants have a problem-solving approach to completing tasks and can work on their own initiative. Community Safety Advisors deliver training packages to groups of people, so applicants must have the ability to present information to small groups.

A driving licence and the availability of a suitable vehicle for business use are also essential.

Closing date for applications is 23:59 on 18th September 2026 however we reserve the right to close the advert prior to this if sufficient quality applications have been received.

We anticipate interviews to take place on 29th September 2026. The interview process will involve a short presentation.
