LDG Contracts are part of Lancashire Double Glazing Group and have been successfully trading for 35 years. We are a leading Manufacturer and Installation specialist delivering large-scale high-rise commercial projects throughout the North West of England. In this position, you will be working closely with our Technical Director and Operations department, controlling all the company construction drawings and documents for around 10 contracts at any point in time.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience in a Document Controller role.
Key Responsibilities:- Set up, manage, and maintain document control systems for multiple projects
- Upload, issue, and track drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and approvals
- Ensure correct document naming, version control, and revision history
- Distribute documents to internal teams, consultants, and site personnel
- Maintain registers for drawings, materials, and technical submissions
- Support design, engineering, procurement, and site teams with documentation needs
- Monitor deadlines and ensure timely document submissions and responses
- Prepare and manage O&M manuals, handover documents, and as-built records
- Ensure compliance with ISO and project-specific document control procedures
- Proven experience as a Document Controller within construction, ideally façades, curtain wall, aluminium, or glazing
- Strong knowledge of document control processes and workflows
- Experience using document management systems (e.g. Aconex, Viewpoint, Procore, SharePoint or similar)
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident communicator with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
