The Opportunity
We are looking for a reliable and skilled facilities maintenance operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role also requires troubleshooting and resolving issues to ensure the smooth operation of Stadium and Hotel, carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive tasks.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Complete planned preventative maintenance tasks across the Stadium and Hotel.
- Ensure all facilities are maintained to brand standards and kept safe, presentable and operational.
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests from customers, front of house teams and managers.
- Carry out routine compliance checks, including fire alarm tests, emergency lighting tests and refuge point checks.
- Complete basic repairs and maintenance, including joinery, plumbing, drainage, painting, decorating and building fabric repairs.
- Support matchday operations, including responding to leaks, remedial works, plant equipment faults and other urgent maintenance requests.
- Assist with pre- and post-event stadium checks, identifying issues and completing appropriate remedial works.
- Support general grounds work, external cleaning, manual excavation and event set-up when required.
- Assist with emergency breakdowns, out-of-hours call-outs and maintenance cover for events and outground fixtures.
- Work safely and professionally at all times, supporting contractors, other trades, risk assessments and safe systems of work where required.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience working as a general maintenance operative or multi-trade technician.
- Practical skills across a range of trades, including basic plumbing, joinery, decorating and building repairs.
- Experience working within a busy facilities management or maintenance team.
- A good understanding of health and safety requirements in a maintenance environment.
- Relevant machinery or equipment certificates, such as FLT, IPAF or PASMA, would be desirable.
- A valid UK driving licence.
