The Opportunity
As a Food & Beverage Assistant at Hilton Garden Inn Emirates Old Trafford, you will be part of a busy, guest facing team delivering excellent service across our bar, restaurant and event spaces. From welcoming guests and taking orders to serving food and drinks, supporting breakfast service, preparing areas for service and keeping spaces clean and well presented, you will help create a warm and professional experience for every guest.
What You'll Be Doing
- Welcoming guests warmly and creating a positive first impression.
- Providing excellent restaurant and bar service, including food, drinks and cocktail preparation.
- Taking orders accurately and delivering them efficiently.
- Preparing, maintaining and tidying restaurant and bar areas.
- Setting up tables before service to the required standard.
- Handling payments in line with company procedures.
- Delivering consistently high levels of customer service.
- Keeping work areas clean, safe and well presented.
- Upselling food, drinks and promotions to support departmental targets.
What You'll Bring
- The flexibility to work across a range of shift patterns, including breakfast and evening shifts.
- Full flexibility is required between 6am and 1am, including weekends.
- Experience in waiting and bar service, ideally gained within a restaurant environment.
- Previous hotel experience would be beneficial, but is not essential.
- You must be aged 18 or over, as the role will involve serving alcohol.
- A positive attitude and proactive approach, with a willingness to support the team wherever needed.
- A warm, friendly personality and the ability to make guests feel welcome and valued.
- An attentive approach to service, with pride in maintaining excellent personal presentation and grooming standards.
- A willingness to undertake training and develop your skills, including any relevant food, beverage or bar service training required for the role.
