Permanent position, variable hours, Unit Catering Supervisor (Grade 4) 26.25hrs per week. Lancashire County Council provides catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving over 60,000 school meals per day. We are looking for committed individuals to join the service. You will lead and work as part of a team within St Nicolas Primary School, producing fresh, high‑quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children each day. You must have previous experience in kitchens and a proven track record in a similar position.
Key Responsibilities
- Cook meals for transport.
- Cook and serve food and beverages in accordance with agreed menus and production plans.
- Direct and/or supervise other employees.
- Order supplies and store deliveries.
- Maintain records and stock control.
What We Are Looking For
- Recognised catering qualification and/or food hygiene certificate (desirable).
- Experience catering for large numbers (desirable).
Working hours: 26.25 per week, 5.25 hours per day, Monday – Friday, term time only, plus four cleaning days.
