Overview
Lancashire County Council provides catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving more than 60,000 school meals per day. We are looking for a committed Unit Catering Supervisor (Grade 4) to lead the catering team at Fleetwood Charity Primary School and deliver high-quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children.
Responsibilities
- Cook and serve food and beverages in accordance with agreed menus and production plans.
- Direct and supervise other employees.
- Order supplies and store deliveries.
- Maintain records and stock control.
- Maintain agreed standards and associated documentation in relation to food and kitchen hygiene.
- Conduct LCC catering inductions to new members of catering teams.
Qualifications
- Experience of large-scale catering.
- Excellent customer service experience essential.
- Knowledge of food service and supervisory skills.
- Recognised supervisor or team leader qualification would be desirable.
- Flexibility with start and finish times to support different unit services.
- A good handle on up-to-date allergen laws.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, term time only. 26.25 hours per week (equivalent to 5.25 hours per day); hours are variable depending on school meal uptake. Pay is pro rata, so advertised wage is for full time equivalent.
