Catering Assistant at Baines Endowed Primary School, Thornton, Lancashire. Lancashire County Council provides catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving over 60,000 school meals per day and we are looking for committed individuals to join the service. You will work as part of a team at Baines Endowed Primary School providing high quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare the dining area for service, including the moving and setting up of furniture and putting away.
- Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages.
- Clean all equipment and catering areas.
What We Are Looking For:
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.
- Good customer care skills.
- Previous catering and food preparation experience is essential.
- Attention to detail essential.
Working Hours/Days:
Monday to Friday. Term time only. Cleaning days per year above contracted hours. 15 hours per week equalling 3hrs per day Monday to Friday over the lunchtime period. 10.15-1.15pm Monday to Friday.
This position is part time and term time only; please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent, the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis.
