We are looking for a caring and reliable Team Manager to lead our Domiciliary Service and support adults with disability.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver day‑to‑day support services to service users in their homes, including personal care, household chores, finances, medication and other needs.
  • Use an upbeat attitude and friendly persona to build positive relationships with service users.
  • Support service users to participate in community activities, shopping trips, outdoor activities, etc.
  • Attend on‑call shifts from 20:00‑08:00 and manage weekend, bank holiday and bank‑holiday tasks.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with individuals and teams.
  • Ensure safety, confidentiality and best practice standards in all interactions.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Passion for making a difference in the lives of people with disability.
  • Empathy and resilience – able to handle complex behaviours and challenging situations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to undertake training and progress into a QCF (NVQ Level 3) qualification.
  • Legal right to work in the UK; requirement to have a vehicle for duties (if applicable).

Person Specification
  • Must meet the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) and be willing to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a disclosure.
  • Required to have a car for use in connection with the duties of this post and be insured for business use (unless dementia).
  • The council may consider applicants who cannot drive because of a disability.
