The Hollins is looking to fill two Teaching Assistant (Level 2) positions to support our incoming Year 7 cohort. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum effectively, providing tailored support both within the classroom and through targeted one‑to‑one or small group interventions.
Key responsibilities
- Support pupils in their learning, helping them grow in confidence, independence and achievement.
- Work alongside teachers to create an inclusive, nurturing learning environment.
- Deliver targeted support to pupils, including one‑to‑one or small group interventions.
- Contribute to a calm, safe, and dignified school culture where every individual is valued.
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or above qualification (or equivalent) appropriate to the post.
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy.
Essential Experience
- Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age.
Desirable Experience
- Experience of working in a relevant classroom or service environment.
- Experience of administrative work.
- Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.
