Summary: We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our inspirational, dynamic and highly motivated team. We are looking to appoint a TA to support individuals and groups of children across the Early Year and Key Stage 1. Working hours will be 8:30am to 3:30pm with an hour lunch (Monday to Friday) term time only plus INSET.

This position is part time, term time only; please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the class teacher to deliver excellent teaching and learning
  • Coaching children on a 1:1 or group basis
  • Accompanying groups on trips
  • Supporting assessment and evidencing learning
  • Working with the teacher to create stimulating classroom displays and learning resources
  • Maintaining a safe and positive environment for all learners
  • Creating opportunities for all learners to reach their potential, irrespective of ability

Essential Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths, grade C or above, or equivalent

Desirable Experience

  • Previous childcare experience
  • A proven ability to work on their own initiative
  • A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults
  • The ability to use relevant technology/equipment
  • A can-do attitude
  • A commitment to the happiness, well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school
