The Trustees at All Saints’ CE Primary School are looking for a warm, caring, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly school team. The role will involve providing one-to-one support, working closely with the class teacher to support a year 5 pupil with an EHCP. You will be part of a supportive team and will also work with a range of wider professionals, all focused on helping the child feel confident, included, and able to flourish at All Saints’. All Saints’ is a welcoming primary academy with 266 children on roll. Our dedicated staff team work together to provide an inspiring education rooted in our vision for everyone to “let their light shine.” We are fortunate to have fantastic outdoor spaces, which we continue to develop and use regularly to support high-quality outdoor learning experiences. This is a lovely opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and making a positive difference within a caring school community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one support, working closely with the class teacher to support a year 5 pupil with an EHCP.
  • Be part of a supportive team and work with a range of wider professionals to help the child feel confident, included and able to flourish.
  • Contribute to creating a positive, caring environment and lead by example within a team.
  • Demonstrate resilience and initiative to explore creative ways to ensure the child can access learning in the school.

Essential Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4 or above)
  • Level 2 teaching assistant qualification or equivalent

Essential Experience

  • Experience of working with children with special needs
  • Experience of working with children in a KS2 setting

Desirable Experience

  • Experience of working with children with autism and ADHD
  • Experience of working with children with communication difficulties
  • Experience of working 1:1 with children
