You’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering innovative recruitment strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent—ensuring we have the right people in the right roles at the right time.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Collaborating with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and deliver tailored recruitment solutions across both niche and high-volume roles.
  • Leading creative attraction campaigns to reduce vacancies and reliance on agency staff.
  • Proactively building and nurturing talent pipelines aligned with future workforce needs and strategic planning.
  • Driving continuous improvement projects to enhance the hiring process and candidate experience—helping position Lancashire County Council as an employer of choice.

  • Experienced in talent acquisition within a large or complex organisation.
  • Innovative solutions focused—think differently and bring fresh ideas to solve recruitment challenges.

This role is aligned to our GETH and Resources Directorates, so an understanding of the challenges in these areas would be beneficial. Sector-specific knowledge of Transport, Digital, and Planning would be particularly advantageous.
