Salary £28,142 - £32,061 per annum | 1 Full Time, 37 hours per week | Lancashire & Blackpool

We have an exciting opportunity for a Grade 6 Support Worker to join the Recruitment & Assessment Team within Adoption, Lancashire & Blackpool. On 01 April 2020, Blackpool Council and Lancashire County Council formed a Regional Adoption Agency (RAA): Adoption Lancashire and Blackpool. Lancashire County Council are the host authority for the RAA, which provides a comprehensive service to families across the region.

The RAA delivers the following services on behalf of the partner Local Authorities:

  • Recruitment & Assessment of adopters
  • Adoption Support & Family Finding

Adoption Lancashire & Blackpool are excited to be recruiting to a support worker role within our Adoption Recruitment and Assessment Team. The successful candidate will be part of a team delivering recruitment, assessment and support services to adoptive parents and children. Ideally applicants will have some experience in working with children and families.

The role will involve support to other teams within the adoption agency including Family Finding and Adoption Support and providing services to children and families as part of our universal offer of support. The successful applicant will be supporting the recruitment and assessment team but may also be required to support across the service at times.

This post is based within Adoption Lancashire and Blackpool (Regional Adoption Agency RAA) with a need to work within the legislation, adoption agencies’ regulations and national minimum adoption standards at all times. There may be some out of hours work involved with this post.
