The Services we deliver:

  • Short Breaks: Offering individuals short breaks within a residential setting, which range from one night up to two weeks.
  • Support individuals with a range of household tasks and personal care.
  • Involve supporting people to enjoy leisure and social activities in the local community during their stay.

Summary:

The Adult Services Health & Wellbeing Directorate's Adult Disability Service provides a wide range of flexible support services across all the districts of Lancashire to adults who have disabilities. We are a well-established provider business with a workforce of around 1,400 staff and our vision is to support adults who have a disability to live the lives they want. We currently support around 1,300 people.

We aim to achieve this by offering high quality, personalised services that promote independence and opportunities for people to develop and learn. The services range from bespoke individual support at home, through to short breaks in contemporary modern accommodation and active daytime pursuits for social, leisure, centre-based activities and education as well as supported employment opportunities.

Our services include those registered with the Care Quality Commission and we are an LCC Preferred Provider so that people choosing to access our service can expect a high level of quality. In delivering a quality service to our customers, we invest in our workforce by offering both induction and specialist training alongside supervision and teamwork, enabling staff to support individuals effectively.

These opportunities are offered on a casual basis for a whole range of hours and you can either apply to work in a variety of work locations or just in one preferred service.

What you need to be able to offer or be willing to learn:

  • Work with individuals in a way that reflects a person-centred approach.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Communicate with a range of people including individuals with disabilities, their family members, other staff, professionals, and people in the local community.
  • Support individuals with all aspects of their personal plan, including personal care, maintaining health, enabling participation in social and leisure activities, and supporting people to live in their own homes, including overnight support.
