We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated SEND Auditor to join our Quality Assurance Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in evaluating the quality and effectiveness of SEND services, ensuring statutory duties are met and supporting continuous improvement across the local area partnership. You will undertake audits, analyse performance and practice, identify strengths and areas for development, and provide assurance to senior leaders regarding the quality of Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) processes and outcomes for children and young people.
The successful candidate will have experience of SEND legislation and practice, strong analytical skills, and the ability to produce high-quality reports that influence service improvement. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with education, health and social care partners.
About the Role: As a SEND Auditor, you will provide independent quality assurance and scrutiny of SEND services through a programme of audits, reviews and thematic evaluations. You will assess compliance with statutory requirements, evaluate the quality of practice, and identify opportunities for improvement that contribute to better experiences and outcomes for children, young people and their families.
Key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking audits and quality assurance reviews of SEND services and processes.
- Evaluating the quality and effectiveness of Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) practice.
- Reviewing compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and statutory guidance.
- Analysing qualitative and quantitative information to identify trends, strengths and improvement priorities.
- Producing detailed reports.
- Supporting service improvement activity through clear recommendations.
- Contributing to inspection readiness and external assurance activity.
- Working collaboratively with partners across education, health and care.
