Location: Tor View Community Special School, Clod Lane, Haslingden, Rossendale, BB4 6LR (279 on roll)

Hours: Monday – Thursday 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Friday 10:30 AM – 6:00 PM. Part‑time, term‑time only.

Salary: Full‑time equivalent; paid on a pro‑rata basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate cleaning staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Work collaboratively with the site team to ensure the school buildings and grounds are well maintained.
  • Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing door handles, and unblocking sinks.
  • Ensure the effective operation of heating, lighting, and security systems.
  • Maintain outdoor areas, including clearing pathways, managing waste disposal, and ensuring playgrounds and car parks are safe.
  • Manage stock levels and ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are replenished as needed.
  • Act as a key holder, securing the premises and responding to emergencies.
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed, including COSHH requirements.
  • Support deep cleaning and site maintenance during school closures or holiday periods.
