We are seeking a committed and highly motivated School Business Support Officer to manage the day‑to‑day operations of our busy school office. The role involves working alongside the existing School Business Support Officer and supporting the school community through friendly, approachable service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming parents and visitors
  • Handling telephone enquiries
  • Maintaining the pupil database
  • Following financial processes for ordering and invoicing
  • Updating the school's financial system
  • Maintaining the single central record
  • Managing the school website and social media
  • Using IT systems for school dinners, trips, income and online payments
  • Communicating with parents and supporting the wider school community

Job Details

  • Hours: 25 hours per week, 40 weeks. Flexible arrangement.
  • Salary: full‑time equivalent, paid pro‑rata. Potential for increase if budget allows.

Requirements

  • 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Essential)
  • Experience of working in a school office (Essential)
  • Experience of using School Management Information Systems (Essential)
  • Experience of maintaining accurate financial records and reconciling with the Authority's central accounting system (Essential)
  • Experience of ensuring all income is accounted for and banked (Essential)
