DescriptionWe aim to support these vulnerable children so that their social, emotional, intellectual, cultural and physical needs are met, and they are given the opportunity to reach their full potential. Successful candidates must demonstrate an ability to build effective working relationships with children, show good teamwork skills, communication skills and record keeping.
Responsibilities
Build effective working relationships with children.
Demonstrate good teamwork skills, communication skills and record keeping.
Assess the needs of children visiting Evergreen Lodge for short breaks.
Plan, implement and review care plans alongside the staff team.
Work with other agencies such as education, social workers and health professionals to promote the needs of the children.
Support children with transition to future placements.
Attend staff meetings and training as appropriate.
Wear PPE when supporting children with personal care.
Working Hours and ConditionsHours of work include weekends, evenings and an overnight sleep‐in duty for which a sleep‐in allowance will be paid. Shift patterns are usually mornings 7am‐11am or 3pm‐evenings 2pm‐10pm.
Legal and Background ChecksThe post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). If successful, you will be required to apply to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) for a \’disclosure\’.
