Overview

Residential Child Care Worker – East Lancashire (Padiham, Nelson, Clitheroe, Great Harwood)

Salary: Starting £28,142 per annum, plus enhancements where applicable.

Contract: Permanent, full-time (37 hours per week).

Visa Sponsorship: This role is not able to provide visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Work from a children’s home with children and young people aged 11 to 17 years.
  • Provide care, listen to and engage in one-to-one work around feelings, emotions and behaviours.
  • Link with other professionals (social workers, schools, police, health workers) to ensure children’s needs are met.
  • Undertake basic household tasks (cleaning, cooking, shopping) and may sleep-in at the home.
  • Work on a rota basis, including a mix of days, evenings, weekends and sleep-in shifts.
