Description: Registration Service – Registration Officer Births & Deaths. Salary 25989 – 28142 per annum pro rata. Permanent 728 hours annualised. Chorley. International Sponsorship: this role is not open to international sponsorship.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Undertaking duties attached to the registration of Births, Deaths and Stillbirths
  • Attest routine notices of marriage and civil partnerships
  • Support the delivery of a high-quality Registration Service
  • Work as a member of the Registration team

Our service:

The Registration Service creates accurate and timely records of all Births, Stillbirths, Deaths, Marriages and Civil Partnerships and makes provision for couples to give notice of their intention to marry or to form a Civil Partnership.

We are looking for someone who is customer focused, confident using digital resources and committed to effective team working. You will have excellent people skills and the ability to work accurately following work procedures and without close supervision.

These roles are annualised contracts meaning you will work your hours over the year (e.g., 416 or 520 hours) but weekly hours vary depending on demand. The annual salary will be pro-rata. Work patterns are agreed in advance; you may be required to work outside of this pattern. You will be asked to provide your availability 2 months in advance for the ceremony rota.
