Public Health Specialist role within Lancashire County Council’s Public Health and Wellbeing Service.
Responsibilities
- Lead improvements and redesign of sexual and reproductive health and HIV services, focusing on reducing health inequalities.
- Provide public health intelligence and analytical support to the Public Health Consultant.
- Collaborate with the Council’s Public Health Knowledge and Intelligence team to inform priorities, planning and evidence-based decision making.
- Engage with local government, NHS partners and other stakeholders to commission, fund and evaluate services.
- Mentor and support a team of professionals, delegating work and driving successful outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong passion for sexual health services with experience in service improvement and redesign.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and partnership skills.
- Ability to handle complex topics and sensitive discussions with professionalism.
- Strategic thinking, experience in commissioning and financial management.
- Evidence of initiative and ability to develop sustainable, evidence-based strategies.
