Due to continued expansion, we are seeking experienced teaching assistants to join a strong team who support pupils in class and teach small groups. You will be part of a passionate team committed to securing the best education for our young people. The TA3 role is 36 hours per week, over 5 days, term time only. This is a permanent position. It is part-time, term time only; the salary quoted is full-time equivalent and will be paid on a pro-rata basis.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Basic computer skills
  • NVQ level 3 or above qualification
  • TEAMTEACH qualifications would be an advantage; willingness to train is essential.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy
Essential Experience:
  • Recent experience in a school setting; experience in supporting pupils with SEND.
  • Knowledge and experience of neurodiversity and behaviours that challenge.
  • The ability to use your own initiative whilst working within school policies.
  • A strong desire to be part of a supportive team of professionals.
  • Ability to be flexible; experience of delivering small group work or individual support and adapting teaching to meet pupil needs.
Desirable Experience:
  • A proven track record of successfully working with young people with challenging behaviour.
  • The ability to offer skills and expertise to support the social and emotional development of our pupils.
  • You must have a strong passion for making a difference to young people’s lives who face additional challenges.

All staff at Moorbrook act as a key worker for pupils. Basic computer skills are essential and knowledge of SIMs or CPOMS is an advantage.
