The Senior Stakeholder and Events Officer plays a key role in delivering high quality events and stakeholder engagement activity to support Lancashire County Council's corporate priorities. The postholder will sit within the Communications Team and will be involved in a wide variety of activities and projects, from developing and delivering events and stakeholder activity, to providing advice, training and best practice guidance to the wider council services on a variety of initiatives.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting and managing the delivery of corporate events
  • Supporting stakeholder engagement with priority stakeholders
  • Ensuring high standards and quality assurance
  • Working collaboratively with the wider Communications team to ensure messaging is aligned with audiences
  • Providing training, best practice guidance and support to wider council services
  • Supporting insight, evaluation and reporting
  • Identifying and implementing improvements

What we are looking for:

  • Strong experience delivering events and stakeholder engagement activity
  • Experience of identifying and managing risk associated with events delivery, including writing and implementing risk assessments and working with suppliers and colleagues to ensure safe delivery of events activity
  • Experience of leading or overseeing corporate or community events
  • Experience of managing suppliers and partners to achieve cost-effective outcomes
  • Experience of working in a large and complex environment
