Lead the Future of Occupational Therapy in Lancashire. Lancashire County Council is seeking a visionary Principal Occupational Therapist to inspire, innovate, and champion excellence across our services. Reporting into the Head of Quality and working closely with the Head of Operations, you will shape the future of occupational therapy at a truly strategic level. You will provide professional and strategic leadership to a countywide workforce, driving transformation and improving quality across Adult Social Care.
What we are looking for:
- A qualified and HCPC‑registered Occupational Therapist, with substantial post‑qualification experience and a strong understanding of Health and Adult Social Care.
- Significant leadership experience with a proven track record of leading services, shaping strategy, and influencing change across complex organisations.
- A passion for quality and outcomes with a strong commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous improvement, and delivering high-quality, person-centred services.
- Experience of working collaboratively with health, housing, voluntary sector, and wider system partners.
- In‑depth knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, strength‑based approaches, and community‑focused models of support.
- An ability to represent Lancashire locally, regionally, and nationally, shaping the future of occupational therapy.
