Role: The Lancashire authorities are seeking an exceptional strategic leader to take on the role of Local Government Reorganisation Programme Director. This is an exciting and high-profile opportunity to lead one of the most significant transformation programmes in local government, shaping the transition to new unitary authorities and helping to deliver Lancashire’s long-term ambitions for reform, collaboration and improvement.
We are looking for a credible and politically astute programme leader with substantial experience of large-scale transformation, strong partnership skills, and the ability to work confidently across complex stakeholder environments. You will bring strategic vision, excellent judgement, and a track record of delivering change at pace in the public sector or similarly complex settings.
You will:
- Lead Lancashire’s Local Government Reorganisation programme at a pivotal moment of change.
- Work with senior leaders, elected members, partners and Government on a complex, high-impact agenda.
- Help shape future governance, service delivery and organisational design across Lancashire.
- Play a central role in aligning reorganisation with wider devolution ambitions.
