Location: 3 Caxton Road, Fulwood, Preston, Lancashire PR2 9ZZ (Central office with frequent travel to all primary schools in the Trust)

Responsible to: Head of Governance & Compliance (Full‑time, term time only – part‑time applications considered)

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, well‑motivated Governance Officer to join our central team. The role supports the Head of Governance and Compliance and works alongside clerks to ensure excellent governance practices across the Trust and its Local Governing Bodies.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Governance and Compliance in implementing governance policies.
  • Collaborate with clerks to maintain accurate records and documentation for Local Governing Bodies.
  • Ensure consistent governance practices across all Trust schools.
  • Assist in training, meetings and support for governing bodies.

Eligibility

Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the UK and be willing to complete necessary DBS checks.
