We are seeking a caring, committed and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team and support our youngest learners as they begin their school journey. Responsibilities:

  • Support children’s learning through high-quality, play-based experiences that encourage exploration and curiosity.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to deliver engaging and purposeful learning opportunities.
  • Promote positive behaviour and help children develop socially and emotionally in line with our school values.
  • Contribute to a warm, inclusive and stimulating learning environment where every child feels they belong.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • NVQ level 2 or above qualification – appropriate to the post (or equivalent).
  • Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy.

Essential Experience:

  • Has experience of working with young children in a school or early years setting.
  • Is kind, patient and nurturing, with genuine enthusiasm for supporting children’s development.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Is committed to inclusion and ensuring every child can achieve their full potential.
  • Shares and supports the Christian ethos and values of our school.

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 8:30‑13:00 (including 1 hour welfare duty). The contract will be a variable-hours contract with a minimum of 22.5, with potential for extra afternoon hours.

Safety and Safeguarding: In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025, an online search will be carried out as part of due diligence on shortlisted candidates.
