An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Information and Records Management Service within Lancashire County Council.

The Team

The Information and Records Management Service has several teams supporting Council departments in managing their data. The teams are responsible for both physical and digital tasks e.g. the digitisation and associated processes of Social Care and Corporate data, managing and auditing the physical holdings of records, investigating and resolving any issues arising via emails and other sources, as well as the sharing of information with third parties following Information Governance rules.

The Role

The role involves using specific software to process and update information, as well as the need to be physically able to work in a warehouse environment. We are looking for people with good communication and ICT skills, who are comfortable using a wide range of software to help us ensure that statutory and legislative obligations are met. Confidence when using new software systems and computers is essential. Our service utilises bespoke records management software along with MS365 and Teams, so you need to be able to call, video conference and navigate a laptop and systems confidently.

You will be good at using your initiative and solving problems; therefore, communication and teamwork are key. You will be a go getter who isn't afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in. This role involves working with sensitive information in line with current legislation.
